(here from inspiring creation)

Very nice, very colourful and gives a calm scenery.

as for critique:
The part on the left between the two cliffs looks a bit strange concerning water. It kinda looks like the water sort-of rests in a position going uphill - adding wave effects or sth like that might make it more clear.

The horizon, be it intended or not, is non existent. on the left it kinda looks like the sky flows into the sea while it's reversed on the right. Unless it's foggy or sth. a waterscape very often has a visible horizontal line (with the sky getting brighter and the water often getting darker towards it).

Thanks! I am glad you like it.

Thank you for pointing out an issue about cliffs. Somehow I didn't seen that. One more detail to pay more atention to while painting;)

About horizon. Well there is one ( but not straight as it supposed to be ) but may LCD screens tend to blend similar colors. I can see horizon clearly on this screen but on my other computer there is seamles transition betewen sea and sky.

Thank you for a critique. Every bit helps a lot!

Beautiful!
You did a great work on the sky, the clouds are beautiful. Al. in all the sky is still rather light and indicates good weather.
The green you chose for the grass is very dark and indicates, that there is deffinitely no sun touching it. It is so dark, that one would expect there to be a thounderstorm coming from somewhere outside the painting, darkening the sun and casting a shadow.
The beach and the sea are again ver light. The waves seem rather high, which strengthens the feeling of a thounderstorm. Also there are subtle white lines from the upper left to the lower right in the area of the sea, which look like rain to me.
All in all I love this atmosphere.
However I think that the horizon isn't straight, but inclined downwards towards the right. Also, in most cases waves ron towards the beach. There they run towards the lower right corner of the painting instead. This may be plausible, if this painting shows only the left side of a bay, or so.

All in all a really great painting. One of your best so far, in my opinion.

Critique for Inspiring Creation.

Thank you;) I am glad you like this one;)

I painted it mainly to try out a few new techniques and I am quite happy with results ( although straight lines for horizon or perspective are sometimes an issue for me).
Here I tried to show time just before storm. There is some light but shadows are comming fast, it started raining but not to much yet.
I am proud of rain effect;) I did it by putting last layer of gesso on angle and not using sandpaper to even out the suffrace.

Thank you for you tips ;) I accumulated so much of them form Inspiring Creation that I actualy feel inspired! ;)

have you ever painted with a sponge before? great for making sand texture. you may want to try several textures of sponge to find your desired effect

to stop the streaky bit at the top of the left hand branch make sure your paint is the consistency of ink

also a thinner brush four your grass edges by the sand

flowers look good

add some shadow from the rocks into the sea and need to lighten the far rocks and the grass to give the painting a little more depth. remember the further away things are the lighter you paint it have a look at what i did with this one  you can see the lighter rock looks further away rainbow-falls.deviantart.com/a…

also on this one. oh and you can see how the sponge makes a sand texture

you have added depth to the waves well with shading in dark blue

make the sky go lighter as you get closer to the water as this will add a little more depth perception.

Hope this helps

Next batch of professional advice;) Thanks!:)

I used sponge before but not for sand texture. Seems like great idea! I'll try this out for sure.
Good point about streaky bits on a tree. Simple fix;) I'll remember that.

I have some landscape paintings planned so all your advices will be in use soon. Thank you vey much!

Niet. Raczej Katowice ;)

Heh a na poważnie to gratuluje spostrzegawczości. Faktycznie przy planowaniu tego widoczku sugerowałem się co nie co klifami w Gdyni.
